The Story
Imported from Honduras to the US in 2017 by second owner that drove it less than 300 miles. I purchased it in stock condition in April of 2021 from 2nd owner. The original owner was a Doctor in Honduras. I average between 18-21mpg (75mph-60mph)fully loaded with all my overland gear, empty on smaller tires I saw as high as 27mpg! The second owner installed a new pressure plate, timing belt, and water pump at approximately 160,000 miles at which time I purchased the. He provided no documentation of the work performed but by visual inspection and strong performance of the clutch I have not doubted this to be true. I drove the Trans-America Trail from the Oregon coast to Cape Hatteras, North Carolina all offroad in this Landcruiser and it performed flawlessly for 28 days and 5800 miles in the Fall of 2021. I have also navigated 400 miles of the Baja 1000 course and then the entire Baja of Mexico twice in the winter of 2022. Most Recently just got back from a 1000 mile trip to Overland EXPO PNW where we managed 18.5 mpg with two passengers and all our gear.
Very rare spec Landcruiser to come by in this country. It shares enough common parts with the US spec trucks or wide availability of parts from Saudi Arabia that it is easy to maintain and keep on the road. Selling because I have been on the road for 10 years now with numerous different vehicles (this one being my favorite by far) and the time has come I'm moving back to the Caribbean.
CHEERS!

I saw this in person last week at the PNW Expo.
It looks even better in person than in these (excellent!) pictures.
It is extremely well-sorted, and a very thoughtful build.
Good luck, I wish I could swing it.

Hello how are you, I have a 2016 Tacoma with 64k miles 4cyl manual with 4x4 ARE cap and dirt king upper/lower control arms rough country lift, and some other goodies. Would you be interested in a trade?

This is a drool worthy rig, probably worth putting in BaT auction site.

Curious, this '96 has the same dash/steering wheel setup as an USA spec '93/'94 model years. Very interesting!

Not interested in partial trades at this time but thanks for interest.

Thanks! Not very interested in posting on Bat and dealing with the persnickety buyers and pricing strategy really depends on a day to day auction group of exposure it seems. Some days rig pull great numbers and some days they are missed and go for under value. Just my opinion.
The dash in this rig is same as 95+ us spec models expect for its factory non airbag and the oem dash grab bar. 93/94 us models shared the same swoopy style hard plastic dash as the 91-92 3fe models vs this truck has the padded style little more modern style like 95+ Zj80 us spec trucks came with. That’s just the info I’ve gathered from side by side comparisons of a few models….

Thanks for the kind words!
