Selling my camping rig so I can start building a Sequoia camper. Asking $8500

I've had this truck for close to a year, bought it off the second owner who bought it at 20k miles. I had a new clutch put in and the transmission rebuilt at 248,000. The front brakes, seat covers, and suspension were done at the same time. I went with Icon stage 2 suspension with Icon tubular upper control arms and Deaver leaf springs in the rear. The tires are Hankook Dynapro ATM which are my favorite all terrain/all weather tires. The spare tire is on a matching rim as the rest and got a fresh tire with the rest. I also have tire chains for winter driving.

As the title says, it's a 4x4 V6 manual transmission. I've tracked my fuel since the day I got it (18500 miles ago) and my average is 18.7mpg, with 22.8mpg being my best. I've camped in the rig for over 30 nights since June, in all types of weather and I've had zero problems starting or driving the car. The 4x4 works flawlessly, from the auto locking hubs, to the 4lo gearing. The clutch and transmission are fresh, as well as the suspension, so it drives like a truck a quarter its age. The cruise control and power windows work perfectly. Doors, seat belts, seats all work as they should. E-brake is adjusted properly. Just put fresh Bosch Icon wipers on. Battery was replaced in June. Heat and AC work as they should. The radio has bluetooth which connects to my phone and starts playing music automatically. It doesn't have a mic however, so no phone calls. Right now, I have a platform in the back with a dog bed. This easily comes out to use the rear seats.

The Wildernest camper shell is in less than stellar condition. I'm willing to sell it separately for a few hundred bucks. Like I said, I've camped in it for over 30 nights, with and without my sister as well, and it's perfectly stable. It's just old so it's no longer waterproof (I have a tarp and clips), the driver side window was broken and I've never replaced it. Otherwise, the zippers are all good. The bug nets don't have any holes. Comes with both fiberglass poles for the inside and the hanging netting organizer. I recently replaced the locking handle on the rear window and have a key for it. And I've installed an LED strip to the top for better night visibility (esp which I haul my dirt bike). The light strip mimics the taillights, so running light, turn signals, brake light, and reverse lights. Right now, I have a dirt bike carrier attached to the hitch, I'd like to keep that.

This really is a great truck, especially for overlanding/camping. I'm a mechanical engineer so I've taken care of it and tried to bulletproof it as much as possible. I've just come to realize that I'd like to have a more stealthy camper. Let me know if you have any questions.

Still for sale. I'm also open to delivering it anywhere in the West, preferably CO, UT, or CA. Price is negotiable and the Wildernest is available separately.
