***SOLD***

For sale is my 1997 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4x4. As stated below, it has the e-locker, and initially came with 4.30 gears in the diffs. Over the course of owning it, I've changed the timing belt (twice) along with all the other stuff in there (pulleys, water pump, etc.), and I've been really fastidious about making sure belts are done at least every other year. The alternator is about a year and a half old, and the valve cover gaskets were done at the same time. I recently flushed the coolant, and even more recently the power steering fluid. The battery is a brand new Die Hard Platinum (same as Odyssey). I just did plugs and wires about 6 months ago, and the fuel filter is about a year and a half old. There are no leaks or drips.

**PRICE DROP** $8,500

This price no longer includes the supercharger and fuel/timing mods

*I have clean title in hand. In the interest of full disclosure, the title is clean, but the vehicle is a Canadian theft recovery that was brought to the US and given a new VIN. The title states that it is "exempt" from odometer declaration. I know that for the past 75,000+ miles it has been the best vehicle I've ever owned. I don't hesitate for a moment to drive it anywhere, at any time. I've taken care of it, and it takes care of us.

You can always tell when a car is for sale in Utah by the parking lot pics. I've had my fair share of photo shoots in very similar surroundings. GLWS

Added info in the first post about the possibility of negotiating for the rooftop tent with the sale of the vehicle. I'm willing to negotiate if it means everyone can be happy.

Thanks again for looking!

Thanks proven. I like your blog. Building the 4Runner has been a great learning experience for me. I've never held on to a vehicle this long. The longest I ever drove any vehicle before this was 2 years. Over seven years and a lot of great memories in this one. Last weekend we drove to Kodachrome State Park (just past Bryce Canyon and not nearly as busy). It's the land of a thousand phalluses. 5 hours each way with stiff headwind no matter where I turned. It was crazy weather, but the 4Runner did amazing. Love seeing that boost gauge and speedometer work together :D

Memories:

Proof that God has a sense of humor:

Also check out the pics of the HEAVY snow through Red Canyon - it was unbelievable, plus there was a vintage motorcycle rally going through that day. Red Canyon is one of my favorite places to see.

Ok - I've had positive feedback on the rig, but not a single offer. I'm obviously overpriced. I love my 4Runner, but it's time to move on.

so...

Massive price drop!!!

I can add a new radiator to the list of repairs/upgrades now. I found a foreign object that appeared to be lodged in the radiator - curious since there were no symptoms like overheating or coolant smell. To be safe I just pulled it and replaced with a new one. Upon inspection there were no punctures or leaks, so again my loss is your gain! No harm, no foul, but a brand new radiator.

Bump - still only $8500!

I bet it is more timing. I'd be all over it, if I was not committed to LR.

Thanks - I think you're right. Timing is everything. I'll bet as soon as it sells I get a bunch of people wishing they had seen the ad, etc.

Hope your LR3 treats you great - they are beautiful rigs.

13-14 around town (oink oink) but still 17-19mpg no problem on the highway at 70-75mph.

Road trip!

OK, I've decided that I'm going to split up the Supercharger and 7th injector kits, and return the 4Runner to normally aspirated. When the SC is removed I'll delete this listing and repost the individual items for sale.
