1997 Lexus LX450 – 154,000 miles New Price $11,000

Location: Clarkston, WA

This is a great reliable car that has been my baby for the past few years. I have been changing the oil with Mobil 1 synthetic. I had the transmission and coolant flushed six month ago. It has new front brake pads and the rears are 6,000 miles old. I bought the vehicle stock and added everything listed below over the last few years to make it my “dream” overland vehicle. It’s a solid and capable cruiser but my family has grown too big and we are looking for something bigger to get us out camping. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive this anywhere.

The Good

Front/Rear Locking differentials
Dual blue sea aux fuse blocks
Metaltech 4x4 sliders with battery mount
Arb Bumper
Old Man Emu suspension
Warn M12 12,000 lbs winch
IBS Dual battery system
285/75/16 Cooper ST Maxx with brand new spare (12,000 miles)
Custom rear drawer
Ram Ipod Mount
Floor Mats
Kaymar Rear Dual Swing out bumper
New Pioneer stereo with 2 usb ports
Extreme Air Magnum air compressor
CB radio

The Bad

Rear main seal has small leak (common)
Head Gasket is fine but is original as far as I know
Antenna is stripped out but I have a replacement not installed
Drivers’ side door plastic cladding was removed
Front locker light shows that its not engaging
EGR engine light is on –it goes out periodically and has had a new EGR Valve installed
Rip in rear passenger head rest
Drivers side rear ¼ panel had a dent from PO backing into something.
Powder Coating coming off rims due to previous mag chloride damage.

I will post some more photos soon.

Thanks

I was visiting my bro over the weekend, he was telling me about a tricked Lexus...after he described it I told him I had saw it on this forum. Anyway, I went by and took a look-see. Very nice ride. Looks to be a good buy at the new price. GLWS

Haha thanks. I actually just pulled the front fender off and plan on taking all the cladding off and bed lining the lower 1/3 of the car. I also just order a set of 4.88 gears from nitro. I might want to keep it a little longer after this next round of mods.
