I do like that idea, I would consider if the truck were to turn into a family camping truck, but as it is with the wife and our dogs, most of the wheeling weekend trips I go out on I'm solo.. so it does make packing/sleeping significantly more streamlined.I know its on a much lesser scale my 1500, but I picked up a bed slide for 450$ of kijiji years ago and man does it make my life easier getting stuff out of the bed.
I even started (started not yet finished) a set up of shelves to pin to it for long camping trips. the cap slide combo rocks, but it adds weight and you would have the same issues with trees. Man I gotta find our way to BC
No major updates since the post(s) of the Rubicon trail run. Life and the winter months have kind of set the truck aside for a little while. I do have a leaky door seal on the driver's side, despite the seal being new as of maybe 2 years ago, so I'll have some door hinges re-alignment to do to try and close the top of the doorframe a bit harder.... exciting stuff!!Any updates on this rig? I always love the well thought out, no drama, mods and planning. You have some good resources/tools available to ya it seems. Well done making use of em. Only cool thing I’ve done is add an awning to my tractor. Need to rework the roof rack but it’s good enough for now.
