You know more about it than I do I'm sure, but why not fix it and ask $3,000+ if all works and running, that's about what it would be here, maybe more.....and that's for a stock unit!

It's been mentioned that there is possible bottom end damage. It is a very clean Monty if you are able to swap in a TDI.

I don't have capability to do so. beside how can you find Mitsubishui TDI in U.S? my friend is a mechanic which he may be to help me if I can find one.

I'd be more concerned about the front end damage...the pics look like the airbags deployed. The bumper looks like its been replaced, and I'm hoping that is coffee stains and not blood by the adj suspension switch. None of these are deal killers but it does make you wonder if it's worth using as a base for building a TDI.

The Mighty Max was sold in the US with a Diesel, my Uncle had one for a while. Also you could get one from Canada. Might have to check with you local DMV but most places it is a simple paper work change to get the emissions switched to diesel.
