Yeah i also made sure to grease my el-cheapo front kit every oil change and check after hard wheeling, boots failed first it looks like. I'll be going with OEM or Moog soon, had only good experiences with moog and the current parts on my truck were Japan and have lasted well.

From what I've heard on several forums, the problem isn't with the real Moog parts, it's that there are Chinese-made fake Moog parts out there that are considerably lower quality than the real stuff. Figuring out whether or not you've bought real Moog parts is the challenge.

It's not really a matter of "fake" or not anymore. Moog packages things. Lot of "legit Moog" parts are made in China.

and Indonesia. AFAIK Moog does not build in Japan now. There is some old stock from Moog Japan around. Sankei 555 is also a quality brand still made in Japan, difficult to find in USA thou.
