1999 Jeep Sahara TJ

I have just installed a TDI motor into my Jeep TJ. Everything else is stock other than 31in tires, with the hopes of getting about 35mpg.

What engine did you go with? Do you have any other pics during the install?

Also, I would suggest spending some time cleaning up that mess of wires and lines near the fire wall. It will make things look a lot nicer and keep them from getting pinched or rubbed through. Nice work on it though.

It is a VW ALH code engine. I don't have many other pictures during install since I needed this done fairly quick as it is a backup vehicle for me. I completed it in my garage in about 1.5 months working only in the evenings after work. Most of the wires you see in the back driver side are the ones not used from the original 4.0 engine. I left them intact incase I ever need to go back that route. Also there is a lot of "plumbing" on these engines that make it look worse than it is. Come summer time I will remove the blue extension cord that connects my block heater which should help out.
