Great trip report! I know that whole area very well, as I've spent the last 6 months exploring it every weekend while I was at Huachuca for a course. Here's me about 3 weeks ago just off of Montezuma Canyon Rd, west of the mountains.

Awesome!! I live in St David and spent a year at Huachuca. We almost came back that way if I didn't have that appointment. Would have been an awesome end to a okay trip!
