200 Series Buying Guide

Anyone have any tips or advice re: shopping for a 200 Series? Any particular years to avoid, or look for? Any thing in particular to look for when shopping? I am looking at a budget of $30-35k. I see a few online in the ballpark, most in the 85-125k mileage range. Some note accident damage. Haven't looked into any yet to see just what kind of damage they have sustained.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

My advise. Buy the newest and lowest mile you can afford. If it has over 100k, inspect/discuss/consider radiator replacement, starter replacement, rear wheel bearings.

I got one for 85k right in the middle of your spectrum. Go with the LX570, research on mud as to why

Totally follow this advice....My starter and radiator were replaced before I bought it. You will love the 200.

Agree with the radiator and starter, also check for cam tower leaks as well in the early models. 2013+ gets you some additional benefits/slight refresh that I think will carry you a little further.
