Looking for bigger rocks.
I hear that. I really (really) want some Volk TE37's but I'm not made of money...

Not much to show but I did get some different tires, 285/75r18 Toyo open country rt (35x11). Also have been working on the production rear bumper. Bumpers getting closer to production as well as roof rack. Should have some finished pics in the next few weeks. In the mean time here are some more snow pics testing the new tires, so far very impressed with the Toyo rt! Got into some pretty deep snow and they worked great. Here is a 3D drawing of the most recent rear design, should have it in steel mid next week, should also have some swing arm pieces as well. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1458276334.832296.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1458276344.485650.jpg

1st: Awesome thread. I will subscribe for future updates.
2nd: Beautiful truck.
3rd: Lots of tires swaps.?. Didn't like the BFGs?
4th: I may be interested in your rear bumper at some point.
5th: I have dreamt of painting my 4Runner and my 100 Toyota Dune Beige for some time now.

Yes, lots of tire swaps, I guess I'm very picky with tires and balance. Never had the bfgs on this rig, I liked everything about the Toyo at2 but they would not stay balanced. So far the Toyo rt is the best all around tire I have had.
Let me know when your ready for the rear bumper.

Yes, I love that color and mine is going to need a paint job after all the prototyping I have used it for.

Hey Ben, you mentioned you added a Tundra antenna. I've been looking into adding a fixed antenna, care to share a pic and a few details? Mainly, what year Tundra Antenna did you go for? Thanks in advance.

I believe I used the antenna and mast from an 04 tundra but any first gen tundra antenna should work.
I don't really have pics of the install but it was almost plug and play, you will need to fab a small bracket out of 1/8"X1" flat bar but that's about it. You really wouldn't even need to do that if you didn't mind the antenna to sit at a slight angle.

Got it all ready for the new owner :( going to miss this rig!
I did some custom tube work, got the new production dissent rear bumper mounted and everything coated black.
Also mounted the buyer supplied 315/75r16 ko2s.

Looks amazing! Great attention to detail. That has to be the quickest opening swing I have ever seen!

Does it rattle much when it's latched?

No rattles.
There is an adjustable rubber bump stop that set the preload on the latch,
This is located on the corner close to the hinge which allows it to close against the bump stop easy but once closed the bump stop puts constant pressure on the latch making it rattle free.
It took a lot of thought and time getting it rattle free but in the end I'm very happy with it! It moves less than other swingouts I have had with the more traditional latching system.
