Considering selling my truck/camper to build or buy a 4x4 camper van (family has grown) otherwise I had no plans of selling this rig. I am a diesel mechanic and I have owned it for 5+ years, the truck averages 19mpg with the camper and full gear. It has been used and does have desert pinstripes and a few dings but has been very well maintained mechanically. I typically drive the truck to work a few times a month to keep everything moving but it only sees about 2k miles per year.
Overview:
2001 Dodge Ram 2500 short bed quad cab
24v Cummins ISB HO (only on 01-02 6spd trucks)
6spd NV5600 trans
4x4 LSD Dana 80 rear 60 front w/ 3.54 gears 1650 rpms @65mph
On board air (200psi)
500+ miles out of a tank
ICE cold AC
Engine:
Stock 24v Cummins
4" MBRP exhaust w/ muffler
Power puck (+2 mpg and 50hp)
Donaldson B105006 air filter
Newer drive belt
No blowby
Newer VP44 injection pump w/ approx 50k
Always run with TCW-3 two stroke oil in fuel to preserve injection pump
Suspension/driveline:
Rebuilt HD steering in 2017 (no "Y" type steering)
35" Toyo AT's 75% tread on black Procomp 16x8 wheels
+3" front springs and Bilstein 5100's
Rear air bags
Previous owner replaced the rear spring with heavy springs for towing, I had planned to use Carli or Atlas springs for a softer ride and better off road performance.
All fluids, diffs, trans, and transfer case replaced <10k miles ago
F/R brakes ok
Clutch replaced by previous owner and has approx 50k miles on it

Custom switch panel w/ USB's and 12v outlet
Rebuilt door and lock
Resealed roof
Comes with 4x Rieco Titan Jacks
Custom platform to lift camper in bed to clear cab
Sleeps my wife and I plus my 7ys old and 50lb dog comfortably
The Bad:
Truck spent most of its life in NV and the heat took its toll...
Truck is losing clear coat on hood and roof (had planned to bed line truck)
Dash is trashed, it has a plastic cover and looks OEM
Dash bezel is also cracked
Steering wheel is sun damaged on the top side and Cruise cntrl button is loose
ABS module failed (about $200 on Ebay)
Camper interior is dated and mostly stripped (works perfectly for our style of camping)
Camper plywood floor should be repaired(one soft spot and the rest is just 35yr old wood)
Camper needs a new mattress up top
We just got back from the Sierras and I haven't had a chance to clean her up but when I do I will post more pictures.
