2001 Chevy Kodiak C7500 4x4
-Ex US NAVY truck
-29,000 original miles.
-Marmon-Herrington 4x4, (not the normal 4x4 that the smaller Kodiak trucks had, the C7500 is essentially a semi truck with a pickup truck cab).
-MT17 Front axle, rated at 14k lbs.
-Allison 3650 6 speed, push-button automatic transmission with double overdrive.
-6.19 gearing (still does 70 mph due to the double overdrive transmission).
-Caterpillar 3126 engine, 275hp/860tq. Runs very well, absolutely no know issues. Even cold starts are effortless.
-3 brand new interstate batteries installed this month.
-Truck does not leak any fluids, parked in my driveway all the time, no messes.
-Exhaust brake operates well.
-Air shifted Marmon-Herrington MVG750R transfer case, 2 speed.
-Air operated rear differential lock.
-Currently has new Goodyear MV-T tires, 395/85R20 (46x15.50) tires on it with 20" aluminum 2 piece military wheels, but can sell it for less with the factory steel dual wheels with good tread.
-10ft heavy duty steel flatbed with dual underbody toolboxes.
-Extremely heavy duty 5" receiver hitch with pintle hitch.
-Redarc electronic trailer brake controller with on dash adjustable dial.
-Trailer air brake connections installed at rear bumper. Factory trailer trolley valve on steering column.
-Air brake connections also at front bumper, (used for flat towing in military vehicles).
-Air QD fitting installed at rear to fill tires, etc.
-All 4 seats are brand new gray vinyl with lumbar adjustment, 2 armrests, and most importantly, all Air ride.
-Factory A/C truck, works as it should.
-Full length center console, rearmost section was removed when they removed the COMS equipment.
-Floor is covered with bedliner for the NAVY.
-Roof was damaged at some point in its military use, was poorly repaired, but does not leak.
-Body is otherwise in quite good condition. Very minimal rust, really just the bottom seam of 1 door.
-Truck runs and drives great. It is currently titled at 26k, but will likely require a CDL to operate due to its original GVWR and air brakes. (Original GVWR sticker is missing due to being repainted for the NAVY).
-All mechanicals work, even the cruise control.
-Overall, the truck is very solid, I drive it all over without hesitation. Being an ex NAVY truck, it should be expected to not be perfect and polished, appearance wise.
-Quite firm on price, and I will not negotiate VIA phone/email. This truck must be inspected in person to appreciate. Absolutely no joyrides. Clean title in hand.
May consider partial trade for:
-A 1995-1998 Ford F800 with an 8.3 Cummins
-A 1995-1998 Freightliner FL-60 or FL-80 with an 8.3 cummins.
-A gooseneck trailer, 14k or higher capacity. 20ft or longer.
-A pintle equipment trailer, 14k or higher capacity, 20ft or longer.
-Big military truck, 5 ton or larger.
Let me know what you've got.
