2001 Montero limited Power Brake Bosster

Hi

I am considering 2001 montero limted with 120K on, owner asking 3500$ for it , however it needs Power brake booster, do you guys know who much will it cost to fix it, I am not mechanic, so I have to take it shop, is this major repair. thank you for advise.

Cost is around 350$ (remanufactured) plus labor. I suggest you replace the booster accumulator also at the same time call a mitsu dealer near you there is a recall of this accumulator part they replaced mine for free. Also timing belt is due for that mileage.

Thx. Alex, is that dealer charge or indepenent mechnic charge? also would mitsubishi honor wanrenty recall if more than 10n years old, according to saler he did change timing belt, and pump.

Have VIN number ready when you call dealer so they can check if its covered in the recall. I suggest you order the brake booster online and have your mechanic install it.

thx, for info , what would be resonable price for 01 limited, timing belt, has been changed , he is asking 3500$. no rust or leaks.
