2001 Pathfinder squealing?

The past week or so whenever I first start my pathfinder for the day it squeals really loudly for about 15-30 seconds. Usually it doesn't happen the rest of the day and if it does it's only for one second max. Does anyone have any clue of what this could be? Thanks in advance

That's what I thought it would be. I'm about to take it in the shop and I just wanted a better opinion than mine on what it would be. Should be a cheap/easy fix, yeah?

Also, do you have a guess on which belt it is? Sorry if that's a noob question. I'm only just now getting into cars

Very likely the serpentine belt. Replace and tighten it and the problem should go away. Mine did the same thing for a while. There's two main belts under there so it makes things easy :) Unless you have the 3.3 and then I believe there's 3, but not sure. It should be a cheap job that most any shop can handle.

definitely a belt slipping, might be able to look into your engine from the top with a flashlight and see which one looks worn

Just my $0.02
I had one squealing for a few minutes during a cold start up. It was the AC compressor serpentine belt. I replaced the belt because of the mileage I had on the rig. It still squealed. Rechecked the tension and so on, then one day it shredded under the hood. The bearing in the AC belt tensioner froze up. In hind sight the tensioner bearing was going bad and the tensioner pulley was giving resistance to the belt making it squeal. Now I run without AC never used it in the last 7 years so one of these days I have $30 for a tensioner and $12 for a belt burning a hole in my pocket and no other projects going on I'll fix it.

BTW this was on a VG33E 3.3L V6 2000 Nissan Frontier.
