Wonder if the interior vibrates like made on wash board roads. We had a RV slightly larger than that.. and we had to do 15-20mphs the whole time or else the stove top would rattle like mad and the tv would probably fly out lol

Pretty cool rig though.

I'm sure it does, it looks a little to plush for an overlanding rig. The add says it's a 2002, but last time I checked brass and oak went out of style sometime in the early 1980's.

Here's another one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chin...003QQitemZ130220906658QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

I swapped a couple of emails with a spokesman at the 'new' Chinook before the company went ashcan, he said it was basically related in name only to the previous Chinook Mobilodge that made the '70 Chalets and Toyota/Datsun Chinooks. Maybe the slanted edges of the side windows was carried into the new company's designs by default... There's a night-and-day difference in build quality, though. I looked inside a RWD version two years ago, I really doubt it would rattle much on rough roads. Super solid construction, but probably really heavy, too. One could say it was the Earthroamer before there was an Earthroamer.

Check out all the really spiffy photography of this one, somebody is good at capturing the luxury of it.

nice comment on the original post...

Q: cool vehicle but that paint job is a whole bucket full of ugly. Is the 4WD a Quigley conversion? Apr-25-08
A: The 4x4 is done by Salem-Kroeger in Red Bluff, CA. They use the same parts as Quigley and are also covered by Ford for powertrain issues. As for the paint,...more

looks cool. too bad they didnt go to the next level and use lighter materials. particle board may work in a bus, but not something made for offroad duty.
