Maybe like half a million miles. They are capable like the hardbodys and wd21 pathfinders of the 90s.

The engine and trans will run far into the 200, 000's. I've seen several trucks around 275, 000. The price on that truck considering the mileage seems a bit high to me.

They can be built to be very capable. I'm running full lockers. I've done many of the more difficult trails at moab without issue. The approach and departure angles are real good. The vehicle is quite primative by todays standards. But, its simple construction makes it easy to work on. Its capability is what prevents me from trading mine.

I just got mine the way that I want it,,,, well almost the way way that I want it.

The fact that it just does everything that I ask it to do without any complaint. And it is more like an old pair of jeans, than a pair of anything else, dependable, comfortable, not scared to work in them,,,

thanks for all the info it really helps

whats a good price for that with all the mods already on it? also if i get should i ditch the calmini lift and get a good suspension system or what are your thoughts? also probably get rid of the prerunner bumper and get more of an expo bumper. any good suggestion on a bumper for that year of xterras?

$4000 if its mint condition. Otherwise mid $3000. According to kbb.

If your going to change the bumper and lift why not just buy a stock xterra?

Mods are worth nothing really when it comes to final value. That is unless the mods appeal to the buyer so that he would pay more over a stock vehicle. But, generally speaking customized vehicles are customized for one person the owner and are generally harder to sell.

First off, there is nothing called an expo bumper. I would rock that thing as is untill the wheels fell off. With the tube work up front it is already taking a bunch of weight off of the front end, which is a very good thing. The sliders are also a very good choice and something that I would look at in a very good light.

Really it just comes down to price. and what you are willing to pay.

Ok thanks for all the great advice and sorry for the misunderstanding, I meant more of and expo bumper like winch/bull bar sorta thing instead of the prerunner bumper.
I'm hoping to get the $ for this one cause its the only one around my area for that kind of price with options
However I did see a fj60...

Yeah the suspension on these early xterras is rather dated. Torsion bars and leaf springs. If your looking for something with a quality ride I'd look to a 3rd gen 4runner my brother picked one up on craiglist in fine shape for $4300. With its linked rear end and coiled front end it has better ride quality. When you figure it comes with a sunroof, power rear glass, larger tires stock, better brakes, a nifty Awd mode on the transfer case. The Xterra is behind. Yet if you need a roof rack, stadium seating, factory first aid kit, reliable leaf springs and enjoy having a rare vehicle with lots of personality xterra is the best option.
