Looked at an 02 Tundra today. Mint condition, new frame. only 75k. I looked at it because I was thinking about getting into a truck and trading down from my 07 Xterra. Im not to fond of the 02 style, I like the 04 style and up, but the price is good and would leave me with little to no payment. Since im in the process of building my xterra into an expo rig, I wanted to ask you guys what aftermarket support the 1st gen Tundras had as far as bumpers, lifts. Do any companies make lockers? Thanks alot

Not nearly as much as we'd like support wise, but it is there.

Bumpers: ARB Sahara bar, Iron Bull, Kennesaw Mountain

Lockers: ARB, Detroit, Powertrax; however, you'll need(IIRC) to have the open (non LSD) differential

Lifts: Bilstein (5100 adjustable), ICON coilover, Camburg, Toytec
Keep the lift as low as possible, your CV's and ball joints will thank you. 2-1/2" is the max you should do, and the big end of the CV boot will spit grease if you don't change the clamp to a worm drive (it's called the CV clamp mod on Tundrasolutions)

Sliders: Demello, Stubbs

I could give you my lecture over Kennesaw Mountain but I'll save my breath. Instead I'll just offer to send you e-mails that contain broken promises, tape recordings that have fowl mouth words directed towards customers, and court documents about my lawsuit I have filed against them. Anybody that needs to change their store name because of the bad reputation it has gained needs to be steered clear of.

Best bet is ARB or have something fabbed up like Go4Lo is: If you want to concede any restrictions start with the time restrictions

I'm not a big fan of the looks of Iron Bull bumpers.

No need to lecture, I was just pointing out options. I don't like the look of any of those bumpers and I would fab up something custom also.

Hahah, didn't mean lecture at you, I'm sure you've heard the KMA stories many times before (now Tactical Armor Group).

I would love to see more products for the first generation Tundras though, maybe Go4Lo's fabricator will turn out to be a good resource.

As far as lockers go, I believe an ARB can be fitted into the rear, not sure about the front but there are far more knowledgeable people on here that can help with that info.
