2003 Isuzu nps hd bullet proofing

I am looking at buying a 03 npr and I was wondering what I would need to do to bulet proof the truck and if there is any that that can be done to help the mpg it will be used as a service truck

The principle is the same between them. Both have a bit of a rough ride and same basic requirements to make them more comfortable to live with.

I don't know whether you have a catalytic converter or not, but a freer-flowing exhaust does any diesel a world of good. If you have a converter AND it is legally required in your state, put as free an exhaust as you can behind it. In some cases, the converter quiets the exhaust enough to eliminate the muffler. Then just a nice-size diameter pipe behind the converter will be all you can do. I hope this is all food for thought for you.

I'm in Texas you could pull it off and gut the converter as for a muffler is there one that is free flowing and quiet ?

Dynaflex, based in So. Calif, has a line of truck mufflers that flow very well. Go online and search for Dynaflex Exhaust. You can download their catalog, and they have EVERYTHING for truck exhaust systems. Mostly, for your sake, they have straight-flow mufflers for every tube size. Check into it; you'll get some good ideas from it!
