2003 Land Rover Discovery II Overland Adventure Vehicle
46,4xx mls
I purchased my Discovery as a standard Discovery II. All the components and the transformation into an adventure vehicle was done by professional mechanics. I hand picked the best components for the project and tried to address functionality, performance and reliability when making my selections. I have approx. $23,000 invested in the vehicle but knew I would not get that back in the resale. I am moving and need to sell my Land Rover. I would be happy to sell it but am looking for someone who will enjoy all the add-ons and will continue to improve it.
It was lightly used on fire trails and never saw any hard off-road conditions. All the services have been done and the oil was changed every 6 months. All other fluids were changed annually. It has no issues or leaks and I would drive this across country tomorrow. The service and work was mostly done by a certified Land Rover mechanic in Rohnert Park. I have a running service log and all receipts. The vehicle has been upgraded with the following parts:
Old Man Emu shocks / springs
BF Goodrich AT tires (including spare)
ARB Bull bar with Warn winch, wireless winch remote, synthetic winch line
Custom Rover Racks roof rack with detachable section for roof top tent
Rear cargo ladder
Rear tail light guards
Trailer hitch recovery shackle
Custom Camel Trophy table in rear
Full LR rubber floor mats
Cargo system in rear
2-way portable ham radio in glove box
South African canvas seat covers
Roof top tent
Pelican roof mount storage case
Hella lighting with Hella wiring harnesses and LR dash switches
ZG Designs hood blackout (not installed)
I am also including a ton of new and unused recovery gear and other convenience items. This is a great family recreational vehicle and a great daily driver if you spend the time to remove the tent and storage box.
I would like $13,500.00 but will be happy to negotiate any reasonable offer. I have spent a lot of time and money on this vehicle and am not looking to give it away. It still has plenty of fun items to add for your own personal touches but it is best suited for a person familiar with adventure / overland vehicles. I will be happy to send more photos for serious buyers. I need to sell by 08/09/10.
