2004 suburban level kit?

Just curious if anyone has used leveling keys? My 2004 suburban 1500 has 265-75-R16s on it currently, I would like to move up to 285s. I plan on getting a Rancho 4" kit in the future but that is a few years off. Thanks for any info

I leveled my 05 2500hd quad cab 4x4 by just adjusting the factory keys. A little goes a long way. Think I picked up the front 1.5" or so and that was 5 years ago. No noticeable problems in all that time that could be associated with it, and I ran 285/75/16's. I did some trimming last year and am now running 315/75/16's w/no other lift than the orig keys. I'm not maxing it out very often, and when I do it rubs a little on the inner fender panels and they need a little more trimming, but it's not often enough that it's made my high priority list.

I just did my '00 'burb a couple weeks ago- keys in front with +2" shocks- very important for maintaining a decent ride, Firestone bags in rear, Bilsteins all around, and 285/70-17s on H2 wheels. It is barely touching the lower tip of the front air dam when hard turned and a dip- like driveway entry. However, I am 2500 4x4 to clarify, with 6.0. Kinda wish I did the 255/80s but wanted to try these new Cooper S/T Maxx and they are not available yet in that size. The S/T Maxx's are great by the way- certainly worth a look, and E rated to boot, though you may not need on 1/2T...

Truxxx leveling kit

I went with the Truxxx leveling kit in my 03 Suburban last year to accomodate the bigger tires. Very pleased with the results front and rear.

I would be careful on how much you lift it with the leveling keys. I have a 2" pro comp leveling kit on my truck, and went through a ball joint and control arm in 7000 miles with the kit only cranked up an inch and 7/8's. I had the shop lower it back down a half inch to see if that will help out. I am happy with the results of the kit, though.
