The way you setup your hubs is awesome. I just swapped out the a340f automatic with an r150f manual transmission from a 1998 Tacoma and I would like to get the manual transfer case switch to trigger the ADD to engage when I shift into 4wd but I’m not sure if the ADD needs to be engaged before the transfer case enables the driveline. If that’s the case, I will either need to build a switch to activate the ADD before I shift into 4wd or do a manual hub conversion like you. I’d prefer manual hubs, but I think it will be a while before I decide to take that on. I’d like to have your advice on this subject since you seem to know this system really well.Been busy but I got the regeared 4.88 and harrop elocker popped back in. Changed the rear brake line with a marlin crawler 26 inch brake line.
Marlin Crawler also did the hub swap for me. Was cheaper to pay to get done than to do it myself lol. They also blasted them and repainted it. Looks so nice now.
Still waiting on cv axles as they are doing the outer swap for me as well.
Changed the front diff add tube with a manual tube to ditch the add actuator. The add diff will only go into 4hi without seeing the front add. I got the wiring diagram from my buddy and quickly figured out how it worked. All I had to do was ground out the gray wire on the add harness. I plan on putting this on a switch as it will keep the 4wd lights flashing when you switch back to 2wd.
Finally I added an addition air tank to work with my puma compressor. Similar set up that is in my runner and I love it.

So maybe I can utilize the oem 4wd button for that. I was reading on some of the 4Runner forums that t case engages before the ADD. If that’s the case I could use the t case switch to trigger the ADD system and not need an external switch. Going to read up on the FSM this evening..Since you have a manual T case. You can engage the add by switch whenever you want. I believe the t case actuator actually waits for the front add to engaged before locking the t case in 4wd

Had this thing for almost a year but never really used it. My last trip out allowed me to put it to the test to see how I like it and how I’ll route it into the bed better. I’m still working on the details (trail and error).
Ran for 9hours at a fairly low setting and kept the interior temps around 72-74 which was perfect for me. I used probably just shy of 1/2 gallon of kerosene. Battery resting at 12v. Solar was already charging before I even got out of bed. Don’t think I never slept so good in cold temps lol. Outside temps was in the mid 40s.

That heater is fkn cool. I froze my nuts off last weekend camping in 25 degree weather and would have LOVED a setup like that. Got a link to the heater?
Been thinking of picking one of those heaters up myself. You used it in 40 temps though, lol.. I don't usually use a heater until it's below freezing.
Keeping my tent or the back of the truck between 50-60 in temps below 30, makes me a happy camper.
