One of one ever built. Pretty cool. I didn't know it even existed. Located in Washington state.

I don't care much for brands on brands but it is a neat build and a cool idea for shows, etc. Still, it's a beautiful rig. That's the last year Chinook Concourse and the one to have IMO. Still pretty dated at almost 20 years old now but it had a fresher interior bits and the solid color paint looks great.

Also, if you could get a 2005 Chinook actually built on a 2005 Ford V10 chassis (I've heard there are very few, most built on chassis a couple years old) then you would have the upgraded 5r110 which was a magic upgrade for the V10.

I would roll this rig. I would not pay anywhere near $115k for it. Par for the course, asking price double what it should be.

So is a Baja model basically a 4x4 concourse? Or is there some other differences? I know the Baja's are quite rare to begin with.

Another box to check for me is side door model - did they still make it in 2005?

I think front and rear bumper upgraded plus luggage rack, not sure if winch is standard.

These are very cool and one even raced some across Alaska race and while it never won they did win Sportsmanship award for stopping to help a couple people, I believe the Baja always finished as well. All nice but $115k is very pricy. Also as 86scotty says, you can get a Chinook Concourse with V10 and install lift, bumpers, steering and suspension upgrades etc....and you are way WAY under $100k. I mean WAY under.....even from reputable conversion shop.

So, I guess the questions you need to ask is the paint job (stickers) worth a big premium or just the coolness factor of having a Baja?

As far as i know a Baja is just a 4wd Concourse with bumpers and a (nowadays) goofy paintjob.

The interior aesthetics in these have aged poorly in my opinion, rock solid reliability 100% but ugly as sin .
I agree they are dated but during the same era (around 2000) the cabinets are night and day higher quality than my Sportsmobiles or even the 2004-2005 Chinooks. My 2001 Chinook is golden oak but looks good as new and rock solid cabinets. I decided it would be a shame to remodel it so I just enjoy it the way it is. My Sportsmobile is another story. I totally want to insulate and rebuild those cabinets in my RB50.

I think I read somewhere that the habitat was attached differently in the Baja models, but I’m not sure.
Unfortunately, 1999 or maybe 2000 was the last year of the side door with the full time bed in the back. I feel like I’m the last 8 months or so I have heard of 3 of those changing hands. Before that it was pretty rare to find them.
