Ran across a van here local that is a 2005 E250 with Quigley 4x4. 5.4 motor w/135k on it. Van looks to be in pretty good shape. Have not taken it for a drive yet.
My question is how good a motor is the 5.4? What type of service life can be expected on average, what issues to look out for etc. Thanks ahead for any input.
Oh, also what do these usually go for?

Here is the local van w/5.4

Saw another van(not local) same year except a E350 with a 6.0 and Quig 4wd that was priced at 17k. About 165k on it. Is that a good price for this? nothing extra on the inside only some shelving.

That dark shadow van looks really nice! The 5.4's are good, but it really depends on how you will be using the van. If you plan to build an elaborate interior or tow then the 5.4 isn't for you. They like gear, mine is a 6" lift on 35's with 4.88 gears. Works perfect for me as a DD and family rig. I tow occasionally with it, nothing major. The best thing about a 5.4 is the low cost of parts & maintenance. They're reliable too. See what the van is worth in stock form and then add 5K for the Quigley parts. If you plan to get any real performance from the suspension or want larger tires go ahead and plan to spend $$ on a DeQuiglification.

thanks Chris thats kinda what I was looking for. Mainly just planning to build it out to camp/stealth camp in. drive it down South if I end up buying it or some other van. Not planning on any rock crawling or any heavy off roading but wanna be able to explore a bit. Mainly looking for good reliability.
