A little delay in progress, but U-bolts fit perfectly. Solid mount to crossbars, and super easy.

I built 4.5" capped PVC footings to support the center, where the 1/4" to 1/2" droop is occurring. Weather/heat permitting, these will go on tomorrow.

Today, before the sun attacked me, I installed the center supporting PVC feet, and connected and secured the wiring. I made the PVC feet 1/4" taller than the frame height; giving a slight upward bow, rain run-off, and hold-down pressure on the feet. Now I have just the two leads ready for controller and battery connection.

Wow. I remember watching this build in the start and haven't checked back till now. What a transformation. Like what you have done. The fix solar will be nice since you won't have to set them up every time you stop.
