I'm the second owner (mine since 2013). I bought it with 107k on it and had the timing belt and water pump serviced at that time. I brought the truck with me when I relocated from Dallas two years ago. I've always used Amsoil oil and filters, and did a fresh change 02/07/18 along with a new Die Hard Gold battery. The truck has Bilstein 5100s, Metal Tech rear spring kit, and BFG K02 275/70-17 tires in great shape. This truck is the sport model which means it has the KDSS sway bar system and the gray wood grain interior accents (rare).

How many miles? Can I get more pics of the rust? Especially of the rear brakes and axle. That steering shaft looks rough? Do you still have the fender liners? Thanks!

168k, sorry for the omission, it's in the CL ad. I'll take more pics. The fender liners are gone. They were jettisoned when I did the AIR block offs in the exhaust manifolds and the piggyback bypass to avoid potential fan failures.

Sorry don’t know anything about this AIR mod? Got a link to explain or pm me directly to explain. I’m 3 hours from you but if the rust isn’t too bad I could make the trip later this week.

So basically from that thread what you have done will prevent the truck from throwing any codes. Will it also still pass emissions?

It will pass emissions. It basically only tricks the computer from engaging the AIR pump, and thus preventing any related trouble codes. No check engine lights, ecu codes, or faulty exhaust gas readings result. When I bought the truck, the codes came on within a couple of weeks, undoubtedly why it was traded in. I did the fix and have had no issues in the years I've had it.

There is a recall on the dash. I just haven't bothered with it.

How are the CVs and brakes? I had a 4runner from the same era and they had issues with both...
