This is my Jeep and I love it. I built it from a stock Jeep and was headed towards building a rock crawler, even though that still appeals to me I find more enjoyment exploring and driving new places. My current plans are to down size to a more streetable tire, do a gear change and build my trailer to suit my needs.

Nice. I just down graded slightly from 33x12.50 back to stock size 31x10.50. Enjoying it much better now. It is so easy to get caught up in builditis. Good news is that it is cheaper devolving than it was when building... good luck to you. Save weight, and as Hee Hawdy says... do it ASAP "As Stock As Possible.

I ran 33-10.50s on my '05 Rubicon 6 speed, and they were a perfect size. What are you running now? 35s? 37s? It's hard to tell from the pic...

Will, this makes me sad to hear. I love your LJ the way it is. But I also know that running 40's in Charleston isn't a worthwhile cause as there really isn't much fun to get into with a tire that large.

I do look forward to seeing your debuild and especially what you do with the trailer. I possibly will be coming back to the Jeep family but more likely to a Grand Cherokee.

Um, yeah... 40s are probably a bit much for "street-able" use. 37s will look good on there. Who made your trailer?

Your jeep looks awesome, excited to see the new direction your taking it. What is it geared at right now? I wish that I would've ordered one of the aev hiline kits before their discontinuation.

The trailer was made by Gr8Tops. It's an Aqualu aluminum tub on a custom frame. It uses factory jeep body mounts to mount to the frame. It's really light weight for how big it is. It's gonna look great polished up

Im running 40s lol, Im going to down size to 37s.
I would downgrade to at least 35s. just a more manageable tire. Even 33s. More milage per fill up then. that's how I look at it. The more distance you sqeeze out of a tank the better it is. Money is not the issue, Range is.

Love the rig as she sits in that photo too. ha ha!

I never understood rock crawling. Go 10 miles all day and tear the living crap out of your rig to see the same place all day. Meh. Give me 1000 kms of new scenery and places to visit any day.
