2005 Montero Limited Front Strut Question

Is there any difference between 2001-2004 and 2005-2006 Montero front struts?

KYB Gas-A-Just struts are spec'ed for 2001-2004, but show no offering for 2005-2006, however Bilstein 4600's show their application is for 2001-2006 model years. What gives?

Example:

KYB's here -> KG9144

Bilstein's here -> 24-062718

And even more bizarre, Monroe has offerings for 2001-2003 model years, but not 2004-2006.

As far as I know they all are the same fitment, but there may be different spring rates or dampening for later ones that got the 3.8L. You could ask ARB about it. They seem to have a lot of info about vehicle weights and the best suspension set ups using their OME kits. At the very least, they could answer about whether or not there is a difference between the front struts.

They are all the same when you go aftermarket springs and shocks, but the part listings are for the 3.5L. Get familiar with the Gen 3 Pajero, you will find tons of info.

KYB stated they based their replacement on 2001 to 2004 model numbers, so the manufacturers part number changed after 2004 for who knows what reason; supplier change, spec change, revision etc. But that is probably irrelevant based on all other info.

I ordered them for my newly acquired 05 so I will update once I go to swap them out.

Also FYI, OME, bilsteins, and ironman shocks/struts are nearly the same extended and compressed lengths (and many times shorter) compared to stock. Bump stops come into play before shock/strut limitations do.
