Hey All. Big fan of the site. My first time posting.
I am the original owner of a dealer maintained, 2006 Montero Limited (Gen 3). I am now selling, and prefer selling to someone who appreciates Monteros!
Extremely well-maintained Montero. All dealer service records, non-smoker. Very clean interior. As good on the highway and in city, as off-road and in snow!
A/C is ice cold. All scheduled maintenance, and all dealer service records. Looks and drives great. Easy to drive and park. 158K highway miles (commuting to Mammoth Lakes). Perfect first car or family car. Seats are in very good condition. The comfortable 1st and 2nd row leather seats fold into a giant bed. Also has 3rd row / seven-passenger seating, plus giant moon roof. V6 engine does a great job on mountain highways (and freeway entrance ramps), yet also attains decent gas mileage. Definitely better fuel mileage than my Lexus GX470 (4Runner).
Being the original owner, I know specific / proactive services completed on this vehicle. New catalytic converters, water pump and timing belt, new battery, OEM shocks, dealer maintenance, moon-roof track cleaned and re-aligned, replaced AC fan, new rear weather stripping, excellent all terrain tires, brakes, all fluids maintained, etc. This is critical to help a Montero surpass 350K+ miles. My Montero was just re-examined by the top Mitsubishi service department in California. As I type this, the vehicle is being detailed and waxed.
I have the rear, matching color Mitsubishi OEM tire cover in storage (not shown in pictures). I will also include after-market items: Yakima roof-rack cross-bars, three rows of Montero-specific WeatherTech floor-mats, professionally installed auxiliary jack, and the trailer hitch. Vehicle has never towed. I can also sell you my Yakima RocketBox (shown in pictures). This Montero does not have the silly rear seat DVD player or rear spoiler (options as new).
For those unfamiliar with Montero's, this SUV is like a more affordable Land Cruiser...or a more reliable Land Rover. I have owned a Toyota LandCruiser, and a Lexus GX470. This Montero is as refined and capable as those (more expensive) vehicles. Montero is better than the 4Runner, at half the price. 2006 was Montero's ultimate year in the U.S., with the best exterior and interior design, the most horsepower, and improved electronic stability control. This carbon grey metallic (grayish blue) color is the best color. This is a California car, so no rust.
Hoping to sell to an enthusiast who will show this Montero a great life! I currently have it listed on AutoTrader for $8,900 and Craigslist Los Angeles for $9,000.
