I usually don't stray into the domestic forum, but I must say this truck is properly cool!

If you didn't bin your old headlamps try put some HID projectors into them, the light from HIDs in projectors is a million times nicer when compared to reflector housings

Appreciate the kind words.

I kep t the old lights and have thought about a retrofit for them. Also debated on trying LED headlights, but pretty satisfied with lighting for now and with he aiming, I don't ever get brighted. I would like to improve the high beams because they are just cheap hid-like blue bulbs and dont seem to put out the light they did a few years ago.

I did order up some new front lower control arms as the bushings seemed pretty worn when I was swapping hubs. Got some Moog ones on the way with the 08-09 style swaybar link connection so i will be redoing the links I built again. Should be fairly simple and they were significantly cheaper than the earlier style control arms.

Tossed the basket back up top. Painted the hood all white for now. Washed it. Filled it with fuel. Added new reverse led lights.

These reverse lights..

Had a few questions for you if you don't mind. How many miles do you have on it now? Have you had any transmission issues with the bigger tires?

170K ish. Expect to get another 100K honestly.

I have not had any issues with the transmission. Only done basic pan drops and filter change. I did have the PCM reprogrammed by PCMofNC with the 35s and 4.10 to make speedo and shift points were right.

Good to hear, looking at one for sale with 110k miles. Wanting to do a simple MarkMC or BDS lift and bigger tires. Just read through all of this and some threads on offroadtb.

Anything I should look out for?

Find one with the G80 and 3.73 or 4.10 gears. G80 has its flaws but is best option off the bat. The lower gearing will help a bunch with increasing tire sizes. If you buy one I may have some parts available sinc you arre only over in IL. Also know a few ORTB guys near Chicago that may as well or may be able to help ya out with any installs.

Been a bit, but I got some updates in the works. A new winch bumper is at powdercoat now and some new to me projector headlights. Also have some 5125 rear shocks to toss on. Picked up some doors my buddy started cutting for trail use and he then traded them to me to get some that match his body lines better. Little work and I think they will be nice. Kept mirrors and uses factory latching.

Thanks. Its a decent site, but alot of high school drama lately...

I updated several forums I participate in, just been concentrating on family. Been awhile since the truck got the love it deserves. Will get the bumper on tomorrow.
