It’s in Carlsbad Ca. 110 k miles. Mostly original, started interior mods but home remodel took priority. The drivetrain is the pre def/ emission choking LBZ 6 speed Allison with 4WD. Single cab,the wheel base is shortest available, really tight turning radius, i cut the bulkhead back for more driver seat recline for cruising. Fantastic off road, maneuverable, van size with lots more options and stay away from RV parks. Small size ez to get around and park in the city’s. Less is more. Influenced by the couple with the “travelin-tortuga“ Tiger, they traveled the planet put a lot of miles thru harsh environments and road conditions. I know this camper has a fantastic overall drivetrain and my plans to upgrade with easily available: camper electronic systems, lightweight interior options will make this a low key, comfortable, capable camping rig. I’ll post some pics soon. it’s not a pretty sprinter van but it will take you wherever ( read the adventures of travlin-tortuga) and tow whatever you want, that LBZ is a super powerful, reliable power plant. Finish off the interior as you’d prefer, drag a Jeep, boat, trailer full of bikes or just cruise in comfort, go up and down grades with ez. Read up about the rare LBZ. A brute. $65,000. Call me, 818-335-8241. Thx, Scott

Maneuverability of a regular wheelbase van.

Fully self contained….full bath, furnace, a/c with heat strip, water heater, sink, stove, refrigerator, generator, permanent bed…

And 4wd!

I really don’t understand why these great rigs don’t get more love here.

Good catch! Both of these likely are lower-ish priced because they’re HD 3/4 Tons build’s, not 1Ton builds.
Both of these? They are the same truck minus a new dent and cabinetry hack job. Sorry, not trying to be rude just trying to add info for someone's 65k purchase. I'd be a bit concerned with being the 5th (?) owner, there looks to be some concerning modifications.

For my 2005 GMC 2500hd Tiger the only difference between a 2500hd and 2005 GMC SRW 3500 is one leaf spring. It adds approx 500# payload for the extra leaf spring (the GVWR is like 700# higher but leaf spring weight comes into play). So in reality you could make it a 3500 with a leaf spring mod. I am running air bags and the previous owner had a helper spring added.

This rig has been for sale on here before, same seller for more money. There were some negative comments and the post was deleted. It is a good year for the Duramax and Allison Trans and the price would be inline for a mint rig which the potential buyer will have to determine condition. Funny thing is last Fall my lady put a similar dent in our Tiger backing into a fence post (I was supposed to be helping her watch mirrors and read the map :)) Progressive gave us over $4k to fix it - I think we will probably get it done for less. We haven't had time to take into for estimates yet.
