2007 Dodge Ram Megacab armor?

Who makes good skid plates for the mega cab? I looked at the Mopar OEM stuff and frankly it looked like it would fail on the first rock. I'm interested in transfer case and fuel tank protection. Anyone?

The factory skid plates will deform and protect the running gear from abrasions but nothing more. After a trail ride in my long bed quad cab I had to remove the transfer case skid plate as it was pushed into the cat. The metal is soft stamped steel which I could nearly reform without tools. Something custom will be your best bet.

You could adapt Powerwagon skids, they're significantly tougher than the run of the mill HD skids.
