2007 GMC Yukon 4x4 basic Florida build suggestions.

Evening all.
Looking for suggestions for a basic build for a 4x4 Yukon to navigate Florida. The Yuke is a 4x4, not AWD. On the menu right now is more aggressive tires, ditch and other lights, a winch, some ropes and shackles, and roof rack. We have a lot of sand in N Fl and a lot of rain. We are going to be wild camping as often as possible. Do I need a brush guard? I’ve talked about winches to friends and they’ve all talked bumpers for the winch. I can apparently mount a winch to the chassis without a bumper. Thoughts? Suggestions? Experience?

Brush guards? On the right application they look cool. But necessary? How do I judge? I would LOVE to do sandy beaches but there are few if any to camp on here. Going to have to go up to the Carolina’s for that. Many of the national forests are sand though. So I’m adding a shovel, some trac boards, and hopefully a winch and straps coming soon.

I've driven all over N.Florida in a 2wd truck and A/T tires, no need to over think it. 95% of the places that you'll want to go can be reached in a bone stock 4x4.

Also, extend your axle breathers.

Brush guards often cause more damage in a collision. Like the idea of lights, tires and roof rack though. And the other stuff to get out of mud or sand.

Maybe add frs/gmrs radio or at very least a cb.

I've seen people mount a tow hitch to the front and mount the winch to the insert. Take it off or install on a moments notice

These are a good generation of Tahoe/ Yuke.
