What is this I don't even
Located in Beaumont Texas
209,000 miles
This thing is cleaner inside than your grandma's Buick that has a quarter of the miles.
Blizzard Pearl that unfortunately has started to fail. Well maintained with frequent oil changes and lots of factory parts. Last timing belt was just before I got it in 2023 when it had 155k miles.
List of maintenance items & modifications I've done:
**Unless otherwise listed, all parts are either Toyota or the OE manufacturer**
• Oil is changed every ~5,000 miles with Super Tech High Mileage Full Synthetic and a Toyota oil filter
• Transmission was converted over to Valvoline MaxLife Full Synthetic ATF shortly after purchasing and gets drained and filled yearly. Transmission shifts just as good as new
• Front, center, and rear diffs all drained and filled every year with Valvoline 75W-90 Full Synthetic
• Radiator, hoses, and radiator cap
• Idler pulley, tensioner, Gates serpentine belt
• Oil cooler seals and oil pressure switch
• PCV valve and hose
• NGK Laser Iridium spark plugs
• Raybestos/Centric front and rear pads and rotors
• Driver and passenger engine splash guards
• X2Power AGM battery with Voltage Booster PRO diode
• Eibach Pro-Truck Stage 2 Lift
• Perry Parts bump stops
• 17x8 Method 701 wheels
• Falken Wildpeak AT3 285/70 tires
• All 4 four TPMS sensors replaced when tires were installed
• Land Cruiser Prado black window trim
• Weather Tech floor liners 1st and 2nd row, OEM Lexus mat in the back
• Ceramic tint all around and on the moon roof
• GROM Bluetooth adapter
• Subwoofer foam replaced with Simply Speakers kit
Needs nothing, this is a typical Toyota that you can get in a drive anywhere in the world with confidence.
There are only things on my to-do list:
The tires are getting down to last couple thousands. They still work great as I took it off road back in June and had no issues and I haven't driven it much since then.
One is the front ball joints. The boots are shot but none of them are making noise yet. I only noticed when I did the brakes recently.
Next is the front driver's wheel well liner. I trimmed it and zip tied it to avoid rubbing after the lift and tires but I guess one of the zip tire broke off and the tire caught it and mangled it a bit on the front. Purely a cosmetic issue.
The mode selector solenoid for the HVAC makes a bit of noise. You can only hear it if you're stopped with no music playing. Switching modes and then back clears it up a lot of times but so far it hasn't caused any issues so I let it be. Mode switching is still fully functional.
The front passenger side door speaker is starting to rattle, sounds like the foam is going on that one like the subwoofer did. I have the foam ready to install for both front speakers that I bought along with the subwoofer.
The paint has started to fail in several spots. It's the worst on the hood and front passenger fender followed by underneath each rear quarter window.
