FOR SALE: 2007 Ford E-350 Sportsmobile 4x4 – V2.0 Expedition Build $95,000

Miles: 73,468 on fully rebuilt truck (152,700 total chassis miles)
Location: Big Sky, Montana
📍 Ready to drive around the world. Rebuilt with reliability, off-grid capability, and global serviceability in mind.

After a test trip to Baja in the stock Sportsmobile in 2010, I quickly realized this rig in stock form wasn’t built for real-world overlanding. Cabinets failed on washboards, and the suspension was inadequate for anything beyond REC.Gov campgrounds. So, I stripped it down to bare steel and rebuilt it to be a true expedition platform—built for self-sufficiency in any terrain, any climate, any country. Meet version 2.0, a complete ground-up professional rebuild with a focus on reliability and long-term serviceability. It’s not new anymore, but it’s incredibly well cared for, stored indoors, and has been exceptionally reliable. If someone handed me a gas card and said, “Go drive the Pan-American,” I’d leave tomorrow without a single modification.

Because trout live in beautiful places
Great rig! Sooo much better than a factory SMB!

Can I ask who the rear sofa bed and 46-gallon tank are from?

Answering a couple questions:
The work on the vehicle was carried out by a couple of different specialty contractors. I did the plumbing, electrical, cabinets and general re-build. Mike Wood was the upholstery specialist for the interior paneling, seats, and flooring. The motor replacement by GOS Performance, and the undercarriage work by a local 4x4 fabrication shop. I tried to select the best specialty technicians for each specific phase, and in this case had everyone working and coordinating together when there was overlap. I'm quite pleased with the results.

We're selling as I recently completed another build on a larger platform. Unfortunately the SMB is now just taking up shop space.

No, I'm not interested in another camper type trade. I would however consider a Defender 110, if it was of comparable quality/re-build. Maybe a Carrera 4S? Perhaps something from AEV may be worth considering??
