2009 Northstar TC650 for 12k?

Our TC800 is 13 yrs old now and holding up well. Northstar makes a quality product. Looks like new but I think he'll budge a bit on the price.

It does look clean...seems a little pricey though?
What would this sell for new?

Thanks for the replies. Really helps me in my decision making. I really like the north/south bed on the Northstars. Are there any other manufacturers out there doing that? I think a new TC650 starts at around 16k base model before all the options, so 12k sounds pretty reasonable for an 09 model. I am hoping to get financing to buy it in the next few days if they don't sell it first!

Yeah, the north/south gives you additional storage on the sides. 23" of crawling space does require some getting used to. The 2011+ 850sc's give you 5" additional space between the mattress and ceiling.
You'll enjoy that camper.

Are these the gold plated steps?
Just sayin'...I have purchased 2 sets up scissor steps...including the TL Glo steps...and they do NOT cost $300...

I am sure this is a nice camper...but I do think the price may be negotiable...

Me too. Just have to convince the boss(wife) that it is do-able!:ylsmoke: I am going to try and haggle in the costs incurred for the torklift frame mounted tie downs and firestone ride-rite air bags that I will be installing for close to another 1k Getting stoked to sell all my ground camping gear and move on up to truck camping!:)

If you can get his Toyota tork mounts and sell them towards a set for Dodge. I went with Happijac tie-down. good luck.

Yeah,I've used Happijacs on two trucks for 13 yrs now with good results. The centering system is nice on the Happijac.

Will look into the Happijac tie downs as well. Not too fond of drilling holes in my bed though. Anyone know, will I have to remove the factory plastic bedliner to install the front Happijac tie down bar? Or just cut out a spot for the mounting hardware? Also, how well does the bedliner work with the camper? Wondering if i will need to remove it to keep the camper from shifting around? Thanks

I use my truck for lots of stuff; firewood, gravel, etc…so I leave a plastic liner in for shock protection. I do have a rubber mat on top when I load the TC. We have travelled all around the country like this and have yet to loose the camper out the back!
To be honest; the camper doesn’t move much at all.

We use frame mounted TL’s…but some of the Guys who do a lot of off road travel prefer HJ’s because the bed will flex with the TC.
Using TL’s off road, you may have to loosen the chains a bit.
They are both proven systems…

If it was on the east coast I would be all over that camper :)
Jump on it before it moves, although being in the truck camper spawning grounds I would think that you would have lots of choices. Seems like half the campers I see for sale are in that area.
