That's a great looking bike!

Am I seeing the numbers wrong or are you asking several thousand dollars MORE than it was when NEW???

Hey Guys,
Dropped the price to $14,995 OBO. Bike is pretty much new with thousands worth in parts on it. just cleaning out the shop. Will post it on ADV Rider.

Please forgive me as I don't want to troll your thread, but you do realize that a BRAND NEW 1190 can be had for even your "reduced" price, yes?

And there really aren't that many farkles on this one: my recently acquired 990R (anyone that know the LC8, knows the "R" makes a big difference) has WAY more stuff on it, and I paid barely over half your original asking price, and that was in CA, where these things are hot. As mentioned, you may get lucky and get some bites on ADV for $9k.

I think it's a wonderful example, if not a time capsule machine, but that price is a bit of a slap in the face to anyone that knows anything about these bikes.

That bike's not worth 10. No way, unless an ignorant buyer with more money than sense comes along.

Lame luggage. No suspension work. Outdated GPS. Lame skid plate. The rest are just cheap bolt ons had for a few bucks and it does still have enough mileage that service is important (and "maintained properly" doesn't count). There are no appreciable modifications to this thing making it worth more than $7k. The ONLY reason why it's worth more is the relatively low mileage.

I'm kinda done being nice. It really bugs me when I see stuff like this and a person has the gall to put something up for sale with a bunch of trinkets who used to own a dealership (which I thought meant some modicum of responsibility- especially in the bike world) and sold to unsuspecting consumers overpriced bling used for nothing more tha Starbucks runs. Orange Crush or ktmtalk would eat this up.

I never looked at it quite in the light LONGTALLSALLY describes . But being an ex dealer myself, I agree whole heartedly the person here should have the knowledge to put a decent price on something he used to be a dealer of and should know the value. Unless maybe that's why he's an ex dealer. I have chatted with this person in the past and he seems to be a decent person. And to be fair, other then the ( ex dealer) part I don't have a problem with people putting there rides or gear for whatever they want. I myself when I sell something it's because I want it gone for one reason or other and price it to sell.
I guess I'm on the fence here. Most folks that price there rigs or parts to high don't sell them anyway. But this is someone who should know. And your right LONGTALLSALLY ! Someone may look at that bike as it does look very nice , not knowing or possibly not caring about price and buy it just to go to Starbucks . But isn't that there prorogative to do so. And if that makes them happy, why do you care !
I think the OP should be able to do as he/ she pleases as long as they do not misrepresent there sales item. Which I have found quit a bit of here on EP is being done . And yes I found out the hard way :).

There is a difference in intentional misrepresentation and having a bloated price point. One is the sellers fault which I personally don't see here , the other is the buyers option should they choose to purchase the bike for the price offered .
I sometimes pay more then I should...especially when I just want something now !!!

Hey Guys been traveling for Christmas. The bike is worth what people will pay, its as simple as that. I am of course not desperate to sell so if I takes months to find the right person that is fine.

I put Ex dealer in the listing to assure prospective buyers that the bike has been properly maintained over its life by KTM certified technicians. Yes, I am an EX KTM dealer but I am also an "EX" dealer for 48 other Franchise car and motorcycle stores and locations. So I would say that I have relatively good experience selling things like this and know the market.
