2011 Wrangler Details

Yeah, I'm 6'5" and the JK was the first and only Jeep that I could really fit in. That's why I bought my '08.
I would've much rather seen a Pentastar and diesel than matching roof and pretty dash. Maybe some tie-down points in the cargo area, larger fuel tank, and other items that work for a living.
I have no complaints about my Jeep's interior. It has comfy seats, a radio, and already had a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

If Chrysler or AMC, or Kaiser, would have been listening to us Jeepers, we still would be driving around in CJ3a. We never, ever, ever like a change. I remember all the screaming and hollering when the JK came out with power windows, yikes, and that the 4 doors will be the end of the Wrangler - or the TJ, with it's plastic interior and coil springs (what did the world come to that Jeep put away with leaf springs) - or the YJ with square headlights (OK, I admit, that was wrong ). I will have to actually see a '11 Wrangler until I make a decision if I like it or not.

Swiss hit the nail on the head with this post. All points about resistance to change are well made and accurate. The truth of the matter is that every year the performance of available automobiles surpasses the previous years models. There are performance levels on the showroom floors that were thought unimaginable 20 years ago and all that with a 100,000 mile warranty. It gives you pause when you think about it.

We can pick apart the 2011 for the details and lack of diesel but where were we in the mid eighties when the Japanese auto makers were trying to give us diesel offerings from their world markets?

Not old enough to drive :)..

I'm happy just as long as it doesn't turn into what the Ford Explorer recently did..
