Got out today in Northern Lower Michigan for a color tour. Ended up running the 18 miles long Tin Cup Springs ORV Route. It was gorgeous, but cloudy and sprinkled a few times. Overall love the Bilsteins on the truck.

@docster Love that area of the state. A little under appreciated, the whole west coast between Grand Haven and Traverse City, but man some great spots to be found.

Paint is looking better as it’s curing. Probably needs a good wet sand and polish Then should be good.

Got my lights installed!

Went with the Baja Designs Squadron Sports. Chose the yellow combo lens (can be easily swapped for $10 to clear or amber spot or flood as well).
Mounted them up on a pair of mounts from SDHQ. The quality on these is amazing. True bolt on, no curing required, took about 5 minutes to have both installed.

Top 2 lights are spot, bottom are flood. Driving light, not DOT approved.

In use pictures are facing down a hill, not flat ground, so still some aiming to do. Taken with iPhone so the shutter and ISO were changing automatically....sorry.

Really like them so far. Looking forward to getting out on the trails and country roads with them and getting them aimed just right. Throw out lots of light as is so happy with the purchase.

@docster I'd spray a bit of fluid film into a rag and wipe the metal mount for the light housing. I've seen them rust up real quick.

Love the setup, looks great! I have something very similar, just a bit bigger housings and I think its more than enough light for most situations.

I've learned over the years...the paint on most automotive accessories sucks. I usually paint them when they are new ao I don't have to pull it back a part a year later and sand all the rust off and then paint it.

I've seen the same thing. Just sometimes those "stainless steel" mounts for lights are not so great. Though he did pick up Baja Designs which are pretty well regarded. My VisionX mounts are all black but have a bit of paint flaking off. More than likely early next summer I'll take a bunch of accessories off and repaint them.

@Grassland they make mounts to where you can put different light brands in the fog light spot and they look basically factory. I know I've seen a plug and play harness made, but you could easily solder in some aftermarket lights.

I'd like something like these to replace my OEM fog lights

How did you end up wiring these?

Just wire then into the existing fog light harness. I did mine that way and they work great.

The lightbar behind my grill is wired to a relay triggered by the highbeams.

They also sell the harness and switchboard that came with the GEN1 Raptors. You can actually buy the center dash to accept too if you are going for the full on factory look.
