2012 FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Special Edition

Toyota has a long history of building rugged off-road trucks, the latest of which is the FJ Cruiser. And if you’re looking to match capability with Jeep’s “Trail Rated” machines there’s no better way to do so than with a more off-road capable Trail Teams Special Edition.

Nice find Corey.
I wondered what the TT would be for the new model year. Red looks good with the black and I'm sure it will sell quickly. The Sandstorm tan had to be put back into production because it was so popular. Even had me searching the net for one to potentially trade my Tacoma in for.

Some woman drives a Sandstorm Tan Trail Teams here at work, parks a little ways away from me.

Lotta people said 2011 was the last year for the FJ too :D
FJ will be going for quite awhile.

I'm pretty sure I'll like the regular red w/white roof better than the all-red TT, but then I already drive a Sandstorm so what would I know?

not sure about a glossy red color for the trail, not as bad as black but i tend towards more subtle colors, and really did like the sandstorm on the previous TT edition. don't really like the lights on there as they stick up above the roof rack on a truck thats already close to 7' tall. already it won't fit in my garage at work, and barely at home.

Are the skid plates anything special over regular skids?
I doubt they are going to be heavy duty like Budbuilts or others that are fabbed up for off road abuse.

I am thinking more along the lines of the thin front one that was offered since 2006 when I bought my rig.

But then who knows, maybe Toyota stepped up and built some beefier ones after surfing forums and seeing what others have been doing to their rigs.

Also surprised they have not taken this step yet.
I think I may do this next year.
