2012 Ford E350 2wd van a good base?

That is a great price for that van! With our lift kit you replace most of your front end components that may eliminate the shimmy your getting. As far as electrical i am no help.....

I'm the OP. Just thought I'd update this thread with the info that yes it was a great price. The guy sold it at 9:00 am the next morning to the first guy in line (I was 2nd). I'm still looking.

Thank you for all the info here. I think a 5.4 and 2wd would suit our purposes - so much good information here.

You're bound to find a good candidate here on the 'vans for sale' link but 2wd 5.4's aren't hard to find anywhere. They are everywhere. Fleets and shuttle companies are quickly replacing them with Transits. I went with a Transit after about 5 e-series vans and couldn't be happier. I have a note but I have a 6' high ceiling and a lot of modern conveniences now, just with an ugly nose.
