Anybody else having back and legs issues... as in pain from front seats? 5-7 hours on/off-road?

Thanks...

I've been in my Jeep driving for 23 hrs straight....my legs do start to hurt after a while. On our desert trips we drive for at least 8 hrs a day, but take quite a few breaks in between, which does help to prevent the soreness.

Yeah, I feel like I need to get out and stretch quite often. Just something about the pre-2013 seats that makes them poor for driving long distances.

Thanks, I hit some pretty teeth smashing ruts that seemed to ingulf the 32" tire at highway pressure. One cattle guard caught me bad in my hip/back and almost rattled my fillings out of my teeth. I've been applying heat and thinking I might need a progressive suspension upgrade after all... Thx all.

If you on a trail as opposed to a dirt road for a few hours, airing down could smooth things out. If you are ready for a suspension upgrade though, I would say go for it!

My big thing is my left leg goes to sleep alot when driving for a long distance. I'm thinking I need to add a "dead" pedal to give my foot something to rest on.

I have noticed the seats aren't as firm as my 07's were but the headrests are 100% better. I do find myself having to jack the seat up more often than I did in the old one.

I really dislike the seats in my 2012 JKUR-MW3.

Issues after long drives: pressure on my thighs due to the angle of the seat base. Also, very limited lower back support.

:sombrero: Sorry to hear that, I don't have any idea what the 12 jeep furniture situation is, but

My '08 JKUR has complete seat adjustment for fore/aft/seat angle/height/lumbar support and reclimning seat back-

Mine is totally adjusted for my comfort and I can drive in comfort/w-dead pedal also-

I think you should change seats or vehicle, or modify

There's no lumbar adjustment on my seats, just the height, angle of the seat back (recline) and fore/aft.

Seems as though the seat bottom is angled so the front of the seat sits too high, which puts unnecessary pressure on the back side of my thighs, which gets to bugging me after about an hour.

I was in Los Angeles for xgiving, staying with my wifes sister and her husband is 87-

His remedy for sitting comfort (bad back), in the home/riding vehicle is a 2'x2' x2"foam/gel ctr cushion-

I triedem and it is really comfortable--they even advertise a truck driver that usesem and says they're great, just an actor, but he shows the cushion in his truck seat-

These are advertised on tv and you get two for $19.99--they're really great, but I don't know any more aboutem

Good luck

Guess I feel lucky to be fairly tall at 6'7" and my wife at 6'. She likes them better than the sport seats in her BMW (and my favorite seats of all time are from the various E30 BMWs I drove and autocrosed for many years).

Anyway, we just finished 24 hours of driving in 48 hours to pick up a new puppy and both of us were just fine. 2 days on the Rubicon didn't bother us, nor did the 400 miles off road (admittedly very little hard core stuff and mostly high speed dirt roads) driving cross country just after purchase.

Dump you billfold and get a money clip with a card slot, carry it in you front pocket. That has solved all my back, and seat comfort problems while driving. I use the MK Wallet.
