Looks great!

I've got a 12 JKU Sport (White) with the Gobi Stealth - the ARB Awning seems to mount really cleanly, how was the install? The XHD bumper looks awesome too (I've just ordered an M8000) - was there any drilling required or anything?

Have got the AEV 2.5" lift sitting in the living room... Can't wait to get that installed

ARB mounting took 10 minutes. Install the mounts on the awning then bolt it to the rack. Tim from expeditionhardware hooked me up with the brackets.

Only drilling for the XHD was a small hole to relocate the vacuum pump. You also have to cut part of the vacuum pump bracket off for the bumper to fit. This will be the case for any bumper install on a 2012 because of where they have the pump located afaik.
I would have liked to have gotten the alum. XHD but they only currently offer it with the stubby ends and I wanted the storage space.

how do you like the bumper with the storage units, Is it very heavy?

The storage units are awesome and are the reason I bought it. With the limited space in the JKURO I need everything I can get and the end caps are a good use of wasted space. I think the total weight of the steel bumper with hoop and caps is around 100 lbs.

I've been evaluating bumpers and that one may have just gone to the top of the list. The end cap design is brillant!

How heavy duty is the connection from the storage wings to the base bumper? Would they rip off if you tagged them going over / into a boulder for instance?

It is secured to the bumper by 3 large studs. It would take quite a bit of force to rip them off, most likely taking alot of the bumper with it...

eta:
For some scale... the original plate that comes with the bumper. Those are nearly 1/2" studs.

Your build is very similar to mine, of course you have a Rubicon and I don't. I opted against the XHD storage end caps because I saw this vide. Maybe they have improved, if so, I am anxious to hear.
