I bought this bike in May of 2013 to travel to the Arctic Circle. And that I did. The bike performed flawlessly. Limited only by my ability. That trip was ~9k miles. I've also done most of the Trans Minnesota Adventure Trail and the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail, along with the Superior Circle Tour.
The bike has never had an issue. It's never failed to start. It's always done exactly what I needed it and wanted it to do.
Cliche aside, I'd literally hop on this bike and confidently ride it anywhere in the world. It needs nothing. And it's pretty much set up for anything. There are very few remaining accessories that you could possibly equip this with.
Nuances:
The tank bag was on the bike for the trip to the arctic, so 9,000 miles of dust, dirt grime, mud, etc. so there are surface wear scratches on the false tank (plastic panel under the tank bag). This didn't concern me, as I run a tank bag almost 100% of the time.
The bike has tipped over in soft ground, soft pavement, sand, etc. Almost all of these were due to incompetent parking on my accord. It's also been ridden off-road and on atv trails, so the handgaurds show scratches (that's what they are there for).
Located in Minnetonka, MN. I'll be more than willing to work with a buyer on a fly and ride scenario, shipping, etc.
$10,500 gets it done.
(NOTE: that's not rust on the swing arm, I just got back from a dirt session and washing it required effort)
