Ugh this thread make me jealous. Damn near identical to what I want to do. The factory OEM Kings still work and pull the same numbers as the Mazzulla spec King shocks? I haven't got that far in my research.

The guys at Mazzulla said that the OEM replacement kings work with the mid travel kit. In terms of pulling the same numbers, I would assume not quite the same, but I haven't gotten too far in to that yet either. Depending on when I get to that point, Ill probably just run with them as is for awhile and see how it all works. May get them revalved at some point, but definitely down the road from that decision still...

According to Mazzulla, the Mazzulla spec ones are about an inch longer and have the compression adjusters (I didn't got for those on mine). Otherwise said there wasn't that much difference, guy I was emailing with said he would just run the OEMs and if anything upgrade to the new 3.0s later on.

Put 1000 miles on my kings last week with a good amount of miles off the beaten path... I'm pretty happy with them. Curious what you do with the front bumper. I'm ready to do mine but I can't decide what to do. ADD is the only tube front bumper I've found that will take a winch but good grief they are $3k.

Yeah, I keep going back and forth on the bumper. Really not a whole lot out there on the market for these trucks that I really like, at least for my purposes. I found the ADD a while ago, but yeah its on the steep side pricewise. I like the looks of the LEX offroad bumper, really similar to the ADD but like half the price, but it also doesn't take a winch (although not really an issue for me right now). I like the Mazzula bumper setup, but just not sure its really what I am going for with the truck, also not really sure about cutting the frame ends right now... I don't know, maybe Ill give in and get one custom built, although I can't imagine thats going to be fun for the bank account!

Hit up mercenary offroad. I was in the same situation with my F150 and he made one for me.

Thanks for the tip, Ill have to check them out, looks like some nice work. Did you bring your rig in to get it built or did they ship it out? On a side note, been keeping an eye on your rig, great job on the build!

I say get a good steel fabricator/welder to custom make exactly what you want. Seems like that is the concensus of opinion. good luck and please post some pics of the ones you like. cheers, Chilli..:)

Haha yeah, that seems to be the general conclusion! Have a few ideas I need to sketch out and then well see what I can get together... Just got a few led lights installed, just in time for a testing trip to the mountains for a hunting camping adventure this weekend. Ill try to get a few pictures up tomorrow!

I am looking forward to seeing the ideas you come up with. You can make a good functional bumper without autocad and all the other fancy software that so many use. A good fabriactor can take one look at your rig and draw up some cool designs that I am sure that you will like. Cheers, Chilli..:wings:

Finally getting around to getting a few pictures up from the last update and trip. Got 6 rigid duallys mounted up on the bumper, have 2 spots, 2 floods, and 2 amber floods right now. Would love to upgrade to some baja designs, but just not in the cards or the bank account right now. Got to try them out the next weekend on a little hunting trip up into the mountains, didn't go anywhere as planned but had a great trip. Lights worked great though, left after work and were driving in after dark so got to give them a good shake down. Think I need to do a little fine tuning of the aim, but so far happy with how it all came out.

Ended up getting stopped less than half half way up the road by a couple trees fallen across the road, and since I am chainsaw-less right now and the area is seldom traveled with little chance of anyone else coming up, we were stuck. Ended up finding a great campsite though (if you ignored the sketchy serial-killer-esque camper left in the middle of nowhere) right by the creek. Zero luck on the hunting front, but had a good relaxing weekend which is all that really counts!

Anyway, here's a couple quick pictures of the lights and a bonus shot or two of the trip.

The view out the "front door," definitely worse views to wake up to!

Hiked up into the upper basin, was hoping to camp not too far from here, but mother nature had other plans...

Awesome thread wrmmt!!!
Can you give me some more details on your suspension set up?
You said you are running King shocks, I assume they are different than the stock ones to allow the fitting of bigger tires...
Thanks!
