Anybody who installed their full skid set run into problems with the fuel tank skid? It does not want to seem to line up. I lined up the straps with the holes on the skid like it says, but it does not mate up with the cross member. I can not get the skid to go up higher to mate with the cross member there is like a 2" gap but the skid seems to be bottomed out on the tank. I didn't want to force it in fear of damaging the tank but I could not get it to go higher.

I got all the other skids on and lined up except the control arm ones but I could not get the tank to line up. Any ideas?

May want to check out the FJ Cruiser forums. Might be more information over there. To be honest the only thing I could think of is the it might be for an older version of the FJ? I really don't know. I wish I could help.

Well after fighting it this am I was able to get it to work. I loosened the tank straps and got the studs from the first strap to line up then pried the skid to slide the straps on the tank so the rear studs would line up. Definitely a pain. Once the studs were lined up in the tank and the nuts were started I placed a floor jack under the front of the skid to cinch it up to the cross member. Once I did that it all bolted up.

It's just tricky to try and move the tank straps while holding the skid working under the car. I most certainly want a two post lift now haha
