Debating on selling my camper set up. Has served me well during the ski season in Colorado this year. Just looking to switch rigs and consolidate to one vehicle.
Specs on F350
2014 Ford F-350 Super Duty
- Super Cab
- 8 Foot bed
- 4WD FX4 Package
- Electronic Shift on the Fly 4WD shifter
- 6.2L V8 Engine
- Automatic 6 Speed Trans
- 120,500 Miles (daily driver so miles will go up)
- 3.73 Gears
- Electronic locking rear differential
- Sync with bluetooth
- Built in trailer brake controller
- Spray in bedliner
- Electric door locks and windows, AC, cruise, power/heated tow mirrors, steering wheel radio controls, 6 seats
Maintenance Done:
- Second owner (originally fleet vehicle)
- Full CarFax documenting maintenance
- I used all motorcraft ford parts for these maintenance items
- Coolant flush at Ford Dealership @ 117, 995 miles
- Transmission fluid and filter change @ 118,000 miles
- Oil Change @ 120,000 miles
- ALL 16 spark plugs replaced at 119,000 miles (that was a joy of a job, just be glad you dont have to do this for a long time now haha)
- Air filter @ 119,000 miles
- New Set of 4 Rancho RS 9000XL @ 122,000 miles
- New Draglink and Steering Stabilizer @ 122,000 miles
- New Goodyear Duratrac Tires 245/75r17 with less than 150 miles on rear set and 1500 miles on front set
- and that brings up to current maintenance
No issues with truck in the 8,000 miles I've owned and driven.
NOW onto the camper specs
- Attached is a PDF of the brochure for the camper, check that out for all dimensions, weights, features, etc.
- 2001 Lance 815 Truck Camper
- Fits 8 foot bed, assuming it could fit 6.5 or 6.75 foot beds with tailgate down
- Fully self contained
- 200 watts solar
- 2 burner propane stove
- Propane Furnace
- 3 way dometic fridge
- Fresh and Grey water tank
- Queen size bed in cab over and dinette bench connects to bed
- MaxxFan with 10 speeds and intake/ outtake
- Happijac mounting system and turnbuckles
- The bathroom has been removed by the previous owner
- So he removed the toilet, black water tank, sink, and shower head
- Then boarded it up and added shelving for storage
- I have a new thetford portable in there right now that is include and the outside shower still works
- This set up has worked well for me since I consider the way baths in these campers too small to use anyways, so it makes a great closet and storage area
Notes/Issues with camper:
- Bathroom change could be a pro or con depending on your use
- There was a small leak at the dining area window, previous owner resealed it, but there are some soft spots in the wood when it dried
- The previous owner bypassed the water heater. Said there was an issue with it, not sure what it was but could be an easy fix. I dont use running water often so it hasn't been a priority for me
- The water system is still winterized so I haven't had a chance to test it out yet since owning it. The water pump kicks on and I haven't seen any leaks with the antifreeze so I assume it good to go.
Well I think that's it! The combo has been great for the winter skiing trips and the furnace has kept me plenty warm. Truck has a payload of over 3500 pounds, so it handles it with ease and basically sits level. This is one of the most light weight hard side truck campers out there and it performs great while on dirt roads and muld trails.
PS: I also have a 2018 Jeep JLU Sport S with only 8,300 miles on it that I tow behind this set up. If someone is looking for a great rig combo for a basecamp and a jeep to drive around on the harder trails, I'd be willing to sell the truck, camper, and jeep for $55,000
Anyways onto the best part, the pics!
Oh I guess a price and location helps too...feel free to reply or PM with any questions, I'm an open book with this thing
