This is not my truck, but it shows the flag nut,the FN on my truck is not that big. I tried for a couple of hours to get that nut lined up with the bolt that holds the track bar in place. Does anyone have any tips,I can barely hold on to it,I line it up with a screwdriver but that is not working,I have been unable to get the bolt to thread into the FN.Thanks.

Hardest part of the whole install to be honest.

Thread the bolt in until it just protrudes into the open cavity. I then grabbed the flag with a pair of long reach needle nose and held it up there. Once it was roughly in place I used the access hole on the back side to poke a finger through and give the nut a push onto the bolt as I turned it. It was a huge PITA, but once I had the right combination of tools and maneuvers it went easily enough

Did mine this past weekend.
I had my kid shine a flashlight in the crack while I lined it up and turned the bolt with a socket wrench. Went on easy enough.

Now getting the bolt out of the other end was a **********!! That took longer than the rest of the install combined.

I will say that this combined with a new Fox steering damper and Synergy Drag Link tightened up the front end of my truck considerably. It drives almost like new now with 85k on it.

Cordless impact, keep it spinning until the flag nut grabs

Never took my more than 5 min and I had the track bar on and off a dozen times

I had a friend hold an extension in the access hole to keep the flag nut in place enough to get it threaded. The other end was not as hard for me,rocked the wheel back and forth to get the bolt in,put a socket on it to get it started, then an impact.Getting old sucks.

I just did the synergy tie rod, drag link and brace along with the fox stabilizer. I was impressed how much heavier the tie rod was, and the metal on metal ends are a huge improvement. You may want to consider the tie rod at some point.

Yea. I think that plus the Carli add-a-leafs will be my next CJC order.
I thought about adding the brace to the order but then read a post by one of the CJC guys on CumminsForum where he said that if the brace helps at all, your box is close to shot so I held off. I don't wheel hard anyway. Just fire roads and FS roads.

Are you running stock rear springs or are they modified at all?

For the rear I’m running the carli mini pack with air bags and daystar cradles. Up front is carli backcountry with fabricated radius arms and sway bar. I’m not sure if the brace helps or not, I had one on a previous truck, I think it may help save the steering box... I’m not sure, but the whole set up improves gently the steering feel.

Did you notice a decent difference with the mini packs?
