Time to let my 2008 Colorado go. Had it since new and it's taken me everywhere from the North Maine Woods to the Montana backcountry. Made it through thousands of miles of dirt roads, trails and single track with no issues. I was always impressed with how far 2wd got me.
Now, my fourth pickup is my first 4wd drive one. Not my first 4wd, had a Jeep TJ for a few years.

So it's a standard 4wd and it's got some nice stock Bridgestone Dueler AT's. Not going to go crazy with it as far as the ground clearance goes, probably just a 2" level and will take the lower air dam off when needed. Knowing how far I went with my Colorado, and knowing how much better this already is, I don't see the need to go big right now. Those super low running boards gotta change. Wondering if I can just find some shorter brackets to move them up?
What I want to focus on now is getting a solid kit for it and getting the little items that make it prepared for the woods. I have a teardrop trailer so a lot is already in that and I have my "emergency/recovery kit" front the old truck.
Any thought or suggestions would be appreciated!
