right on. I meant to ask you James, what size rhino platform did you have on your Scooby? I think the same size would fit on my patriot. I am getting my pat and micra built this summer...micra lower, jeep higher. ha ha.

perfect. I just noticed they make a mesh style as well....I may look into that one. It's not staying on the rig all the time....splitting time with the yak roof top tent and bike/snowboard/kayak mounts.

I don't think you could go wrong either way :agree:. I was little more partial towards the Pioneer as I felt it was a little more solid on the base plus it allowed me to add other accessories pretty easily since it had channels in the aluminum.

How did you attach the platform to the roof?

The Pioneer SX Platform rack comes with the crossbars so you only need the feet. The feet I used were the ones pictured here: http://www.rhinorack.com/en-us/products/roof/roof-racks/vortex/vortex-sx-leg-x4-_sx005
